I’m an advocate of self-love. Of celebrating oneself. In whatever was that make you feel grounded, secure, silly but strong. Anything that gets you smiling and feeling just a bit sassy, a bit wilder, a bit ‘too much.’ So convincing Michelle that yes, a photoshoot celebrating her was just enough was not a problem.
I’ve worked with Michelle plenty of times- from first couple shots to first pregnancy to family photos. But never had I just had her in front of my camera. In between the long luscious waves and the beautiful glow to her skin, Michelle was amazing to shoot. We laughed and walked along commercial, plying in the streetlights and I watched her get more and more carefree as the night settled in.
Finally, she shot me her trademark grin – the one where her whole being lights up – and we were done. Can’t get any better than that.
