I love my job. I really do. Photography is not a “have-to-do” in my life – rather, it’s a must-do. Photography is what calms me, centres me, makes me smile, inspires me, makes me laugh, and hopefully, one day, make me cry (with joy, with pain, with compassion… it’s a goal). I am so blessed to have discovered how a camera works, and how editing can change my images, and how to interact with my clients, friends and families to get the images that speak to me, and hopefully, tell their stories. I want my images to be a reflection of their life, their story, and I am working in 2014 to make that happen. 2013 was about growing beyond my comfortable borders, realizing my worth as an artist, as a visual storyteller, and reaching out to assist when needed, while also sitting back and letting people find me. 2014 now, is gong to be about sharing your stories, sharing my stories, and thinking and photographing truth and honesty. I cannot wait.
