zach and marcy // family

A while back I had donated a session to the Indian and Metis Pavillion at the Folkfest. Marcy won the session and we planned to meet up for a Fall family session. We agreed to meet at the Broadway Roastery and I was just walking down the street, minding my business and checking my gear for the session, when this car honks at me.

I look around and see this huge familiar grin, belonging to Zach, a friend from high school.

“Zach! What are you doing here?! How are you doing!?” I was super happy to see him, as he is a hilarious, funny guy.

“I’m here for a photo shoot,” he says, laughing.

“With who?” I ask.

“Wiitthhhh you….,” he says, laughing again.

It then came out that he was Marcy’s forever and ever partner, and that they had a beautiful baby boy, also named Zack (forever called Baby Z in my head now) and that he was in love, happy in life and feeling great. Marcy joined us with Baby Z as we chatted and man, is she stunning.

Stunning.

Together, they were the perfect little family. Baby Z was totally suspicious of me but then we started talking about banana splits and what kind he was going to get for “smiling” for the camera and how much ice cream was going to get put on and what flavours and yeah. I hope they got him that banaa split, because he was adorable.

They all were.
