Winter Project #1 – it continues

I had showed you the before images. There were too many items in the room. Too much clutter. The pieces were too large for the room. It just wasn’t working anymore for me. I need clean and simple space – a space to breathe and move and a clean slate.

I ordered some key pieces from Ikea. Specifically this desk and three bookcases with doors. It was $100 shipping – to my door. That beats the gas it would take to go get them, that’s for sure. I had to wait for Allen to get home to start assembling.

We started moving the filing cabinet out and giving it away on kijiji. That thing went fast. We assembled the desk. I love it.

It has just enough room for my 27″ iMac and my Epson printer. I didn’t need to move my bulletin board or white board, which is awesome. I still need a chair in there, a comfy one, and some smaller things, but the desk is a sweet a-ok.

The bookshelves are up and are getting organized. I need to get my books brought to the city from up North. It doesn’t feel like me without my books. A few detail shots but the big reveal will be soon.
