My first real memory of Raina is from last year, when I photographed a NYE wedding in Rosthern, SK. She was hanging out with our mutual friends and we finally met, amidst me running around clicking the camera. She was hilarious. A real great sense of humour, just making these small remarks and making me laugh. So outgoing, so much joy in life. I liked her immediatly.
Wes is the brother of my bff’s husband. We’re both from the same town, just never really hung out until his brother married my best friend. And now we’re cool. He’s a lot like his brother – both very gentle souls,with amazing dedication and a determination to make the best of their lives. He treats Raina with such respect and love, yet teases her just so he can see her smile.

It was a beautiful day for a photo-session. It was warm, the sun was out, and Raina came prepared with beautiful hair and makeup and multiple tops, just to add some variety to the images. My kind of woman. Wes came prepared to smile and make Raina happy. My kind of man.
I had a great time with these two. They were so comfortable with each other, and with me. Raina has this brilliant smile, especially when she is looking at Wes and he doesn’t realize it. And Wes, Wes is always smiling, always telling a story, always sharing a truth of some sort. It was the kind of sessions where the company, the weather and the stories just flowed together, and I hope I created something that they will want to see for a long time.
