Another amazing session we got to shoot this year was with Lyrikah and Aerie – Campbell Girls, cousins, most amazing kids ever (I’m so biased). They were rocking the kids and youth apparel line from Dickson Designs, as well as some granny hankies, made especially for them by Auntie Heather. We shot in and around Saskatoon, avoiding the rain and just absolutely loving the confidence these two were giving us.
We are all about that confidence in our Indigenous girls.
Also, our babies are the sweetest. They just kept loving each other up.
“Aerie, you look so pretty in that.”
“Lyrikah, I love your headband.”
“You are so pretty!”
“Thank you! You’re so pretty!”
Tara and I were just in happy tears, grinning ear to ear. To be fair, they totally sounded like Tara and I when we in our affectionate ways, so that also made me giggle, but it was so important for me to do with beautiful brown babies.
