Cheryl + Tyler // wedding

I’ve known Cheryl for a long while. She is the best bud to my cousin Trudy, so I’ve spent lot of time in the last decade listening to the crazy and hilarious adventures those two would get into. When I think of Cheryl, I see her wide smile and her easy going personality. She manages to make everyone feel like her best friend. So when she asked me to photograph her wedding day with her sweetie Tyler, I was so excited. She surrounds herself with the very best of people – people who like to laugh, who care for each other, and who tell stories. I had met Tyler on and off as the year went on, and he always had a smile and a toss of his braid for me. Ha, he knows I like those braided men.

On the day of their wedding, I walk into the hotel room and Cheryl was sitting there, head tossed back and laughing. Her family and friends sitting around the room, getting hair and makeup done, and just sharing in the joy. It was perfect.  As the day progressed, the stories just got better and better. They chose an amazing team of friends as their bridal team, and the way their bridal party had the crowd of people laughing and clapping as they told their hilarious mis-adventures was beautiful. When I headed home after a long day spent eating, photographing, and giggling, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.

These two, have all my blessings and appreciation. They make me smile just seeing them, and I wish the happiest marriage for them.
