The last few years, I’ve work with the Gordon Tootoosis Nīkānīwin Theatre in a variety of ways. I’ve shot Archival Shots (the thing when you photograph the final does rehearsal and come up with strong promo images as well as visual evidence the play was put on, basically), I’ve done headshot, and I’ve worked with the Circle of Voices. This year I photographed the headshot of 11 youth from the program, and it was pretty great. Each youth gets 3 headshot with a clean black and white conversion, but I also wanted to play and throw a little gritty into the editing style. They blew me away with their confidence in front of the lens, and I was so proud of them.
