Women & Self Governance // events

Kari Wuttunee asked me to photograph behind the scenes as she spoke to a group of women about Governance and Feminism, specifically in Indigenous cultures. I agreed, as it sounded super interesting, and she had a beautiful final project in mind. It was a cold winter’s day, but we fed our group of women a feast and we also had local artist, Mary Lou, come in and teach the women how to start beading their very own beaded lanyards. It was a good evening, and Kari ended up with a beautiful visual with strong statements about indedntity, self-governance, and feminism.
