I love photographing my friend’s weddings. Vanessa and I have a long history, but she’s always been one of those women that I look up to, that I like to catch up with when our paths cross, that is easy to tease so she doesn’t get mad when I hit on her man (ayyeee.) So when they gots engaged and the asked me to be their wedding photographer, I promised to not confess our love for him at the dance and to do my very best job, ha.
So in early July we all headed back to Beauval, where we had grown up, and Vanessa and Jay said “I do.” With an intense wedding party of lots of people, the day was hilarious with inside jokes, stories, running around, helping each other out, and making sure the day ran smoothly. After a long day of gently directing people that had grown up with my older brother and no one really taking me seriously (it’s all affection, these my faves <3), they danced the night away in typical Beauval fashion – loud music, lots of aunties and kids running around, and plenty of toasts and two-stepping.
I was so happy to be a small part of her day, and all my best congratulations to them both.
