Treaty Days in Patuanak was held on June 13th, 2016. We were celebrating the birthday of our oldest Elder, Grandma Bebe Ratt. She turned 100+. After a hundred, it’s all gravy, I think.
Patuanak holds an all-day event with a parade, a BBQ, games, and a giveaway of flour, bullets, and tea. We, of course, also get our $5. It was good being back home, and I burned like a little tourist. I managed to get a tan that would last me all summer, but in between the food, laughter and boating, it was a good day.
