I first met Renee in 2017, when I was in town for a conference. She was a model for Heather and I, and we just hit it off. I came back for another visit and talks in March, and she wanted a session. She was finishing school, and wanted a portrait series to mark that accomplishment. We wanted a series that showed her joy and her strength, showcasing her pride in her culture.
