The light was fading. Lana had been half an hour late, despite numerous text messages about how the sun waits for no one. She was rolling her eyes at my numerous texts, and laughing, and blaming Becka. We laughed, talked about photography, and I drove back alleys looking for that perfect hit of light, that perfect location.
And then we found it, and the girls worked it, and it was magick.
Happy belated Birthday, Lana banana. Love you.
