Desiree is the owner of Makeup by DCMK – she is a talented Indigenous makeup artist (check her insta too: @makeupbydcmk). While in Winnipeg, we made sure to create some up to date headshots for work and play. It also turns out that when we met up, it was her birthday! She told me this as I was stuffing the last bite of donut in my face, and I panicked. I held out my hand and said “Happy Birthday?” and she looked at me real quick, and then tossed her head back and laughed so loud.
I make everything so awkward.
