My second wedding in La Loche was with Dawn and Clinton, who got married mid-August. Clinton knew my brothers – hockey players never forget – and both of the families treated me so kind, so Dene – lots of food, lots of teasing, ha. I sent the day with them, from getting ready to saying I Do at the small but packed church, to madly organizing the massive bridal party for twenty minutes of photos, to a beautiful supper and sneaking away for bride and groom pictures at sunset. And throughout the day, I kept hearing thick Dene accents tell stories of first kisses, first loves, first dates. I kept hearing the laughter and the joy as they shared memories with one another of how Dawn and Clinton began, how they got engaged, how their family started. The whole moment was a celebration of their past, and now, their future.
It was a whirlwind day that only ended with their first dance, arm in arm, Clinton still making Dawn grin and laugh.

CelineIt WAS such a beautiful gorgeous day!!!❤️
