When Billie contacted me to ask me if I would photograph her wedding to her sweetie, Billy, I was freaking giddy! Billie is the nicest woman ever. She is always on FB, chatting about doing good, helping people out, trying to be a better mom for her kids, participating in her community – she’s that one who actively tries to make her community and her circle a better place, and I admire that so much about her.
And then she told me she was getting married on a northern island by Pinehouse Lake, and I swear, I fell in love with her too.
Finally, on a hot, lazy summer day, I drove up to Pinehouse for an adventure. In between the homemade decor, the pontoon boat ride, the sweetly uttered words of “do whatever you want, we trust you” and the food, this was a beautiful, amazing, intimate wedding. The absolute joy present in this day was a beautiful thing, and the absolute chill vibes that Billie and Billy put out – they were couple goals.
